Very attractive wine. Fresh berry aromas on the nose with complexing cool climate pea and herbs. Tight fruit on the palate and displaying well balanced oak this is another fine red wine from the Southern Fleurieu. Elegance with richness, one of our favourites.
This is a particularly good wine to cellar. Buy a dozen, open a bottle every couple of months and watch this wine become something great.
Purple with bright red highlights.
Interesting nose. Initially pea and ginger but very quickly dense, fresh raspberry breaks through and dominates. Secondary characters of confection, menthol and florals (violets).
Fresh bakers yeast, cashew nut, pine sap and coffee.
Nice raspberry attack, quite fruity! Mid weight across the palate with fine grained tannins and moderate pucker. A clean acid finish and a touch of fruit return.
Enjoy with a light lamb stew, pasta dishes or barbeque seafood.
This is one wine that I think will continue to improve in the near term. Follow it closely for the next year or so then cellar up to six years of age.
